Message of Congratulation by the Ahlulbayt World Assembly
on the occasion of 15th of Shaaban 1437 A.H.,
the Auspicious Birth Anniversary of the Savior of Mankind Imam Mahdi (a.s.)
The teachings left by the divine prophets and the promising news in divine scriptures have clearly introduced the future outlook of the world and human’s destiny. All religions have announced the coming of a reformer who will emerge at the end of the world and shall lay the foundation of a universal government based on justice and freedom.
According to the Islamic teachings in general, and Shiite doctrine in particular, the savior of mankind, who is a descendant of the Holy Prophet of Islam (s.a.), will emerge to establish justice and peace all over the world. This divine belief is a dynamic perspective, which is keeping pace with the time; because waiting for the Savior is a strong factor for people to move, raise, and combat for creating a righteous and monotheistic global government.
Those who wait for a divine reformer must be righteous people themselves in this system and should struggle to establish a world order based on justice and human dignity.
In fact, Islam has a global mission; therefore, the doctrine of Mahdism (i.e. Coming of Imam Mahdi as the Savior of Mankind) seeks to establish truth and justice throughout the globe.
In the doctrine of Mahdism, expecting a savior to return and restore justice and peace shall create a sense of optimism about the future of the world. This, in turn, will be a constructive and binding element which brings about positive energy and causes movement and revolution. In this context, awaiting a divine Savior shall be considered the most virtuous act of worship, as it brings hope to the hearts of people for the rule of exalted values such as love, ethics, convergence, and elimination of anti-values.
The Ahlulbayt World Assembly as a non-governmental Islamic organization, inspired by messianic teachings of the Infallible Household of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon them) as well as the transcontinental thoughts of Imam Khomeini (r.a.), takes this opportunity to extend its congratulations and sincere greetings on the auspicious birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (a.s.), as the very last hope of the oppressed around the world, to the Supreme Leader of Islamic Ummah (Ayatollah Khamenei), Muslim nations, and more especially the followers of the Ahlulbayt.
The Ahlulbayt World Assembly further emphasizes the following points:
1-The belief in Mahdism must find a special place in the arena of cultural diplomacy. Civil and cultural institutions must try to identify the evils of unjust ruling systems in the world and outline the fundamentals for establishment of a fair system.
2. The doctrine of Mahdism must be elaborated through continuous dialogues with the leaders of divine religions. Also, common features among divine religions have to be highlighted to combat the dangerous thought of creating terror, fear, war, and insecurity in the world. This is an important topic to be promoted as it could prepare the ground for coming of the Savior. In this relation, practical and positive solutions should be studied and eventually put into practice.
3- The Muslim World must outline a strategy to defend the doctrine of Mahdism in order to confront the plots of arrogant powers and their puppets who are the tyrants of Arab world headed by Saudi Arabia; and Shiite Muslims must play the leading role in this field. Also the threats of deviant thoughts by Takfirist groups, Extremist Christians, and Zionist Jews as well as their political motivations have to be discussed and disclosed during meetings, celebrations, gatherings, seminars, and international conferences which are to be held on the blessed occasion of Imam Mahdi’s birth anniversary as a first priority of the cultural and missionary programs of the Muslim world.
4- Return of Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) at the time of the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (a.s.) and his cooperation with the holy Imam in his global revolution has been explicitly and clearly expressed in the context of Islamic hadiths. Thinkers of the Abrahamic religions, including Islam and Christianity, should put forward their fair and truthful viewpoints on the future of the world in order to jointly tackle the above-mentioned risks to global peace and justice.
